Zimran is an IFRS and transaction advisory expert who has financial reporting experience in London, North America and Middle East. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2005.
Zimran has also been intensively involved in review and design of credit risk policies and procedures under IFRS 9. He is a IFRS subject matter expert on IFRS 9 implementation for retail loans and advances and has led implementation of IFRS particularly IFRS 10, 11 and 12.
Zimran spent eight years working at a major international bank in London. He was responsible for appraising the audit committees of accounting judgments and disclosure challenges. Most notably in providing assurance on the changes to corporate regulation affecting annual reports for listed and unlisted subsidiaries.
Within the IFRS Desk he has a substantive specialized role. As an IFRS expert he gives advice on the current IFRS standards. This may be a result of a planned transaction or as part of the auditing on the interim reports or the financial statements. He also closely follows the IFRS developments and translate them into the concrete impact for clients.
